  • Product Description

    It is composed by epoxy resin, iron oxide red, new-type antirust pigment, antirust additive and multi-amine adduct curing agent. Packaging is divided into Component A and Component B. It is a kind of primer cured at room temperature and become dry quickly. The film has excellent physical and mechanical properties and can be mixed with various primers. Harmful gas is reduced during welding because of no metallic zinc. The film has perfect welding and cutting performance, thickness of the film is in the specified range and has no influence on welding performance.


    Design Purpose

    It is used as workshop primer for steel pretreatment line in shipyard and heavy machinery yard, maintenance period is about 3~6 months, and it also can be used as antirust primer.

    Surface treatment

    Surface of the steel shall be treated with shot-blasting and sand-blasting to reach Swedish de-rusting standard, Class Sa 2.5;


    Construction condition

    Substrate temperature shall be more than dew point above 3℃, relative humidity shall be less than 85%;

    If the substrate temperature is lower than 5℃, epoxy and curing agent stop reaction, construction can’t be undertaken.

     

    Prior primer

    Epoxy resin coating, epoxy bituminous coating, chlorinated rubber coating, acrylic resin coating, alkyd resin coating, phenolic resin coating, chlorosulfonated polyethylene coating, high chlorinated polyethylene coating, etc.

    Packing Specification

    Container of 20 liters can load Component A of 24kg, container of 5 liters can load Component B of 4kg.

    Considerations

    Dry spray occurs easily when construction is under high temperature season. In order to prevent the occurrence of dry spray, diluent shall be added to make adjustment until there is no dry spray;

    Safety guide

    Avoid inhaling solvent vapors and painting mist for long term, skin and eye may not contact with the product.

    Forced ventilation shall be provided when applying the paint in confined spaces or stagnant air, although in good ventilation, protection tools shall be worn.
